Ingredients

  • 4 slices country-style French bread
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise
  • ½ cup pimento cheese spread
  • 1 tomato, sliced
  • ⅛ tsp dried basil
  • Salt & pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare: Lay out bread slices and spread mayonnaise evenly on one side of each slice
  2. Assemble: On the non-mayonnaise sides, distribute pimento cheese spread evenly. Layer with fresh tomato slices
  3. Season: Add dried basil, salt and pepper over tomatoes. Complete sandwiches with mayo sides facing out
  4. Cook: Place in air fryer at 370°F / 187°C for 8-10 minutes, flipping at halfway point, until exterior is golden and cheese is melted
  5. Finish: Remove from air fryer, slice diagonally, and enjoy while hot
