French Toast

Ingredients

  • 4 thick slices challah or brioche
  • 4 large eggs
  • ⅔ cup half-and-half
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 2 tsp orange zest
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 4 tbsp butter, melted
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. 1 Mix: In a bowl, combine eggs, half-and-half, cornstarch, powdered sugar, orange zest, cinnamon and melted butter until smooth
  2. 2 Prepare: Lightly spray air fryer basket with cooking spray
  3. 3 Dip: Soak each bread slice in the egg mixture, allowing excess to drip off
  4. 4 Cook: Air fry at 400°F / 200°C for 4 minutes, then flip and cook 4 more minutes until golden brown
  5. 5 Serve: Top with a dusting of powdered sugar and warm maple syrup
