Ingredients

  • 12 oz raw pecan halves
  • ½ cup white sugar
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ⅛ tsp ground cayenne pepper
  • 1 egg white lightly whisked

Instructions

  1. 1 Mix Spices: Combine white sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, salt, and cayenne pepper in a medium bowl until well integrated
  2. 2 Prep Pecans: In a separate large bowl, whisk egg white until frothy. Add pecans and toss until evenly coated
  3. 3 Season: Pour the spice mixture over the coated pecans and mix thoroughly until each pecan is well covered
  4. 4 Preheat: Heat air fryer to 350°F / 180°C for 5 minutes
  5. 5 Cook: Arrange pecans in a single layer (working in batches if needed) and air fry for 5-7 minutes until golden and fragrant
  6. 6 Cool: Transfer pecans to a parchment-lined baking sheet to cool completely. The sugar coating will harden as it cools
  7. 7 Safety Note: Never place parchment paper in the air fryer during preheating to prevent fire hazards
