  • 30 oz chicken thighs
  • BBQ Sauce: ketchup, vinegar, honey, Worcestershire
  • Spice rub: brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder
  • Olive oil
  • Optional: liquid smoke

Instructions

  1. 1 Prepare: Coat chicken pieces thoroughly with olive oil, then apply the spice rub mixture evenly on all sides
  2. 2 Initial Cooking: Place in air fryer basket and cook at 400°F / 200°C for 12-15 minutes until internal temperature reaches 160°F or 71°C
  3. 3 Apply Sauce: Remove basket and generously brush BBQ sauce on chicken. Flip pieces over and brush the other side
  4. 4 Final Cook: Return to air fryer for 6-8 minutes until sauce caramelizes and chicken reaches 175°F or 79°C internally
  5. 5 Rest & Serve: Allow chicken to rest for 5 minutes before serving for optimal juiciness
