Buttermilk Biscuits

  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 ½ tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp white sugar
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 6 tbsp butter
  • ¾ cup buttermilk

Instructions

  1. 1 Prep: Preheat air fryer to 390°F / 200°C
  2. 2 Mix: In a bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, sugar and salt. Cut cold butter into flour mixture using a pastry cutter until crumbly
  3. 3 Form: Add buttermilk and mix just until combined. On floured surface, fold dough 5-6 times and pat to 1-inch thickness
  4. 4 Cut: Using a 2½-inch biscuit cutter, cut rounds. Re-roll scraps gently to cut remaining biscuits
  5. 5 Cook: Place in air fryer basket and cook 8-10 minutes until golden brown
  6. 6 Finish: Brush hot biscuits with melted butter immediately after cooking
