  • 2 medium sweet potatoes (8-10 oz each)
  • 1 tbsp canola or vegetable oil
  • ¾ tsp kosher salt
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • Cooking spray
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • ¼ tsp chili powder
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • ⅛ tsp kosher salt

Instructions

  1. 1 Prepare: Cut peeled sweet potatoes lengthwise into thin, uniform matchsticks about ¼-inch thick for even cooking.
  2. 2 Season: In a large bowl, combine the cut fries with oil and toss to coat evenly. Sprinkle with salt, garlic powder, and paprika, tossing again to distribute seasonings.
  3. 3 Cook: Lightly coat air fryer basket with cooking spray. Air fry at 400°F / 200°C for 10 minutes. Shake basket well, then continue cooking 3-5 minutes until fries are golden and crispy.
  4. 4 Sauce: For the optional dipping sauce, whisk together mayonnaise, ketchup, chili powder, paprika, and salt until smooth.
  5. 5 Serve: Transfer fries to serving plate and enjoy hot with dipping sauce on the side.
