Worth knowing. Tempura batter is delicate — check at 2 minutes to avoid over-browning.
How to keep reheated tempura crisp
Leave space around each piece so hot air can reach the batter. Reheat in batches if pieces overlap, and add dipping sauce after reheating to keep moisture off the coating.
Shrimp tempura or vegetable tempura?
Use the chart setting as a starting point for either. Check the coating at 2 minutes, but also check the center: a crisp surface does not mean the filling is hot enough. Thicker pieces may need more time to reach 165°F.
Can I use these times for frozen tempura?
These times are for cooked, refrigerated leftovers. For frozen tempura, follow the package instructions; raw and precooked products need different cooking times.
