Ingredients

Sandwich
1 loaf Cuban bread or French bread, halved lengthwise
6 oz roasted pork, thinly sliced
4 oz deli ham, thinly sliced
4 slices Swiss cheese
dill pickle slices
2 tbsp yellow mustard
Finishing
1 tbsp butter, softened

Steps

    Spread mustard on both cut sides of the bread.

    Layer Swiss cheese, ham, roasted pork, pickle slices, and another layer of Swiss cheese on the bottom half of the bread.

    Close the sandwich and spread softened butter on the top and bottom surfaces.

    Place the sandwich in the air fryer basket and press down with a heavy oven-safe plate or foil-wrapped brick.

    Air fry at 375°F for 4-5 minutes, then flip, press again, and cook for another 3-4 minutes until deeply golden and cheese is melted.

    Slice diagonally and serve immediately.

💡

Tip: The key to a great Cuban sandwich is pressing it flat while it cooks. If you don't have an oven-safe press, wrap a brick in foil or use a heavy cast iron skillet that fits inside your air fryer basket.
