Method
- 1
Place frozen waffles in a single layer in the basket — no thawing needed.
- 2
Spray lightly with cooking spray for extra crispiness (optional).
- 3
Air fry at 360°F for 4-6 minutes until golden brown and crispy on the edges.
- 4
Serve immediately with butter, maple syrup, berries, and whipped cream.
Pro tip. Don't stack them — single layer is key for even crisping. Check at 4 minutes since brands vary. They crisp up more as they cool, so pull slightly early.
Why the air fryer wins here
- Fast-moving hot air browns the outside before the inside dries out, so you get color without babysitting.
- Cleanup is a basket, not a sheet pan and a splattered stovetop.
Storing and reheating
Refrigerate perishable leftovers within 2 hours, or within 1 hour above 90°F. Reheat leftovers to 165°F (74°C) throughout, measured with a food thermometer. USDA leftover safety guidance.
Keep leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days. To bring them back, air fry at 350°F for 2-3 minutes. Single layer, no stacking. This is the best use of an air fryer in the morning. Full reheat guide for waffles.
