
Divide beef into 4 portions. Form into patties slightly larger than the buns (they shrink). Press a dimple in the center.
Season both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
Air fry at 375°F for 5-6 minutes per side for medium (160°F internal). For medium-rare, pull at 145°F.
Add cheese in the last minute of cooking. Close the air fryer to melt.
Toast buns in the air fryer for 1 minute. Build burgers with your favorite toppings.
Tip: The dimple in the center prevents the burger from puffing into a ball. Use 80/20 beef — leaner meat makes dry burgers. Don't press the patties while cooking.
