Thin spears take 6 minutes; thick spears need the full 8.
Immediately top with Parmesan, lemon juice, and zest.
Tip: Snap each spear near the bottom — it naturally breaks where the tough part ends. Don't overcook; asparagus should have a slight snap, not be mushy. Thick spears roast better than pencil-thin ones.
