
Toss the frozen pierogies with olive oil or melted butter, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
Arrange pierogies in a single layer in the air fryer basket, making sure none overlap.
Air fry at 400°F for 12–14 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy on both sides.
While pierogies cook, caramelize the sliced onion in a skillet over medium heat with a bit of butter.
Serve pierogies topped with sour cream, caramelized onions, fresh chives, and crumbled bacon if desired.
Tip: Do not thaw the pierogies before cooking — they crisp up much better going straight from frozen into the air fryer.
